Wow, what a handsome fella. This is me in my best “Canadian tuxedo.”
After graduating with a BFA in Film from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, I ventured west to Los Angeles to fulfill my lifelong dream of editing “side-splitting” reality television for HBO, MTV, CBS and 20th Television. Alright, I’ll admit the lifelong-dream stuff came later.
My documentary editing credits include the Netflix series The Romantics and Meltdown: Three Mile Island; Truth to Power, which premiered at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival; the Emmy-winning Boys State, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival; and Red, White & Wasted, which premiered at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival. Before all that jazz, the first feature documentary I edited was The Blood Is at the Doorstep, which premiered at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival.
Most recently, I co-directed UECK, a feature documentary about Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster and cultural icon Bob Uecker. The film opened the 2026 Milwaukee Film Festival before beginning a theatrical run throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. I also directed the documentary short Fred’s Basement Bijou, which premiered at the True/False Film Fest and went on to screen at festivals including the Wisconsin Film Festival, Milwaukee Film Festival, Sidewalk Film Festival and DOC NYC.
I previously directed the documentary short The 414s: The Original Teenage Hackers, which was acquired by CNN Films after premiering at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. To top it off, Wolf Blitzer and I have become total BFFs. I also edited the ESPN 30 for 30 short MECCA: The Floor That Made Milwaukee Famous and served as director of photography on The Jeffrey Dahmer Files, which premiered in competition at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival, became a New York Times Critics’ Pick and was acquired by IFC.
In 2013, I reigned as Milwaukee’s Filmmaker-in-Residence after my narrative short Before You won the Cream City Cinema Award at the Milwaukee Film Festival. No pageant crowns or swimsuit competitions were required. That said, I still probably would have won.
Currently, I am an editor and partner at September Club and the proud father of the most gifted and talented daughters anyone has ever produced. Suck it, other parents.
